Abby is excited to launch a new arm of her company with a clinical mentoring and coaching program designed for BCBAs looking for additional assistance or guidance. As we know all too well post certification supervision and support is often lacking (and to be honest during the certification process too) and as a BCBA coming up on year 10 Abby is particularly well versed in handling severe problem behavior and improving stagnant progress through meaningful data analysis and recommendations.
At Leaf & Lake Behavior Support, our 1:1 ABA therapy is personalized, play based, and rooted in compassion. We partner with families to create meaningful, measurable change through individualized care that supports the whole child—not just their behavior. You will see treatment provided in a naturalistic setting, no flashcard drills at a table here!
Each child works closely Abby, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Sessions are tailored to support skill development in communication, self-regulation, daily living, social interactions, and more. Whether your child is learning to use words, manage big feelings, follow routines, or build independence, we meet them where they are—with empathy and intention.
Our Approach Includes:
A comprehensive assessment and personalized treatment plan
Hands-on, goal-driven sessions that reflect your child’s interests
A trauma-informed, dignity-first model that honors each child’s voice
Ongoing collaboration with families and caregivers
Regular data collection and progress updates using electronic data with daily progress insights
Individualized communication (words, AAC device, PECS book)
We believe in progress through connection—and that every small step forward is worth celebrating.
At Leaf & Lake Behavior Support, we believe caregivers are the most important part of a child’s growth and success. Our parent training services are designed to empower families with practical tools, compassionate guidance, and evidence-based strategies rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
We work side-by-side with caregivers to help build confidence, reduce stress, and support meaningful progress at home and in the community. Whether we’re targeting daily routines, problem behaviors, communication skills, or independence, our goal is to create a plan that fits your values, your family, and your unique child.
What to Expect:
Collaborative goal setting focused on what matters most to you
Hands-on coaching, modeling, and support
Practical strategies that are easy to apply in daily life
A trauma-informed, compassionate approach: cooperation is earned, never forced
Ongoing check-ins and adjustments to meet your family’s needs
We offer parent training as a key part of our ABA therapy programs and as a stand-alone service to support families wherever they are on their journey.
At Leaf & Lake Behavior Support, we extend our expertise beyond the therapy room to support individuals, teams, and organizations through collaborative ABA consultation services. Our goal is to build sustainable systems that promote learning, safety, independence, and dignity across settings.
We partner with schools, daycares, community agencies, residential and care facilities to provide practical, strengths-based strategies rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Whether your team is seeking support with challenging behaviors, staff training, environmental modifications, or program development, we tailor our consultation to your unique needs and values.
Our Consultation Services Include:
Behavior assessments and functional behavior analysis (FBA)
Development of individualized behavior support plans
Staff and caregiver training in proactive, trauma-informed strategies
Classroom and environment modifications
Support with IEP goals and data collection systems
Ongoing collaboration and follow-up to promote long-term success
We bring a compassionate, whole-person lens to every setting, and we work closely with teams to build capacity and confidence. Together, we can create environments where individuals—and those who care for them—can thrive.
Rates for community consulting vary based on a variety of factors. Please reach out to Abby Amacher directly for further information.
Leaf & Lake Behavior Consulting now offers BCBA mentoring and clinical coaching for new and early-career Board Certified Behavior Analysts seeking additional support as they grow into confident, independent clinicians.
Transitioning from supervision to independent practice can be challenging. Many new BCBAs find themselves responsible for complex clinical decisions, treatment planning, and ethical problem solving with limited opportunities for collaborative discussion. Our mentoring services provide a supportive space to strengthen clinical reasoning, build confidence, and refine decision-making skills.
Through individualized consultation, we focus on helping clinicians develop the ability to analyze behavior analytically, think critically about intervention strategies, and navigate real-world clinical situations with greater independence all while maintaing a neuroaffirming mindset with empathy and connection at the forefront.
Case conceptualization and treatment planning
Functional behavior assessment (FBA) and hypothesis development
Data analysis and data-based decision making
Troubleshooting treatment plateaus or complex cases
Ethical and professional decision making
Developing independence and confidence as a clinician
Balancing compassionate care with evidence-based practice
These sessions are designed to move beyond simply “following protocols” and instead focus on helping clinicians think like behavior analysts—evaluating variables, identifying function, and adapting interventions thoughtfully.
Mentoring sessions are individualized and may include case consultation, clinical discussion, or professional development coaching depending on each clinician’s goals.
This service may be helpful for:
Newly certified BCBAs transitioning into independent practice
BCBAs seeking additional consultation outside of their organization
Clinicians looking to strengthen critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
Behavior analysts navigating complex cases or ethical dilemmas
If you are a BCBA interested in mentoring, clinical coaching, or case consultation, we would love to connect.
